MLP FiM Shipping Meme (Text Format)

Why am I only doing this in the form of text rather than using the actual meme? Well, if I did use the actual meme, it would take a bloody long time to do all of the lines for each couple, and as the meme is constantly updated, I can't be bothered. So text format seems like the easier (if somewhat lazier) way to do it. Not that you shouldn't use the meme if you want to, but that's up to personal choice.

Anyway, the MLP shippings that I will and won't go for! Remember that these are my opinions solely, so don't go whining in the comments if your favorites aren't mine and vice-verse, okay? There's enough drama in the fandom as it is. -_-

Love

• Twilight Sparkle and pony Flash Sentry/Sci-Twi and human Flash Sentry - Even after Legend of Everfail, I've still never given up on this shipping. I view Flash as being hot-tempered and Twilight is there to keep him cool in case he loses it. So many ideas with it, so little time.
  
• Fluttershy and Big Macintosh - Yes, I still ship it despite being somewhat sunken in Hard to Say Anything. (More on that later.)
  
• Sweetie Belle and Pipsqueak - How can anypony say no to this? Pipsqueak may be small, but that doesn't mean he can't have the courage to stand up for her.
• Princess Celestia and Mirror-World Sombra - Yes, I know he's from a comic, but since writing for them in Art of a Sun's Love, both this shipping (and Sombra himself, in fact) have actually grown on me. Plus, they're sort of like Beauty and the Beast, so why not?

Like

• Any shipping that's already canon - Princess Cadance/Shining Armor, Mr. and Mrs. Cake, whatever. If it's canon, it's canon. And I go for it. :3
• Sunset Shimmer and Adagio Dazzle - Wait, what? ... Yes, I do actually think it's hot. If I hadn't shipped Sunset with Vincent (more on that later), I'd consider Sunset/Adagio my yuri OTP. I partially blame PurfectPrincessGirl for it. Of course, I don't think it'd be fair to leave Vincent out of it. Actually, that isn't such a bad idea... *has unspeakable thoughts of a lesbian threesome between Vincenza (R63 Vincent), Sunset, and Adagio*
• Rarity and Spike - Yeah, they're different species, but then, people ship Judy and Nick from Zootopia. Even though my interest in it has waned a little recently, I still have a soft spot for it.
• Scootaloo and Rumble - He's the kind of kid that could get Scoots to actually open to romance, especially if he takes a page from his brother's book. Speaking of whom...
  
• Cloudchaser (female) and Thunderlane - Because why not? Maybe he's kind of a jerky jock with a heart of gold.
  
• Zephyr Breeze and Coco Pommel - Again, why not? He'd probably help Coco out of her shell, and she'd help Zephyr to calm down a bit.
• Applejack and Caramel - I've seen some cute fanart with them, and she works better with Caramel over Trenderhoof.
• Rainbow Dash and Soarin - Sure, he may have been a bit of a jackass to her in Newbie Dash (that didn't mean she couldn't flirt with him), but there's still a bit of good chemistry between them. And of course, Vincent comes around to make fun of them, so...
  
• Apple Bloom and Featherweight - Again, some cute fanart got me into it.
  
• Pinkie Pie and Cheese Sandwich - Some would see them as siblings, but I view them partygoing lovers to the end.
  
• Photo Finish and Hoity Toity - Both are fashionable and have eyewear, and some have even headcanoned them as Silver Spoon's parents (even I've gone along with it, at least in the pony-verse).
  
• First Base and Silver Spoon - Speaking of which, it was a shipping that EveMeredith97 went for before changing her views, but I've come to think that there's a place for it. It'd probably be a while before his older half-brothers, twin sister and younger quarter-sister come around to his decision to be with Silver.
• Golden Harvest and Written Script - Because why not? Plus, I made them Dinky's parents.
  
• Garble and Ember - Sure, he's a jackass, but I think it'd be funny if she was kicking his butt into shape.

Love/Hate

• Bon Bon and Lyra Heartstrings - I kind of liked it, but season five sorta killed my interest in it.
  

Neutral

• Rarity and Fancy Pants - TobyandMavisforever goes for it mostly due to her dislike for Sparity; I'd probably go for this as a backup shipping.
  
• Pinkie Pie and Braeburn - This one's kinda cute, but if they're cousins... nah, it's not worth thinking about. Another backup shipping for me.
  
• Little Strongheart and Braeburn - Eh, they're like Pocahontas and John Smith, I guess.
  
• Cheerilee and Big Macintosh - And backup shipping #3. I suppose the thinking behind this is that Cheerilee could help Big Mac break out of his shell like ZephyrPommel.
• Sugar Belle and Big Macintosh - I partially blame Hard to Say Anything, but since the episode is properly written and well-structured, it's a shipping I can tolerate at best.

I Don't Know

• Rarity and Thunderlane - Sure, he saved her, but that doesn't mean romance between them.
• Twilight Sparkle and Spike - They're better off either as mother and son or sister and brother.
  
• Pinkie Pie and Royal Pin - Meh.
• Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps - Ehh...
• Rainbow Dash and Zephyr Breeze - I admit that him hitting on her is rather funny, but I don't think he'll want to if Soarin is around...
• Sweetie Belle and Button Mash - I haven't seen the fan videos, so I can't comment.

Dislike

• Applejack and Trenderhoof - Dead on arrival. Applejack had no intrest in him, so why would I even go for it?
• Fluttershy and Discord - I can run but I can't hide; why do I go for FlutterMac and Sparity but not this? Personal choice, really. They're better off as just friends.
  
• Dinky Doo and Pipsqueak - Remind me again of the appeal behind this?
  
• Trixie Lulamoon and Comet Tail - (Yes, people do ship it.) Why would somepony as sweet and naive as Comet Tail go for somepony as brash and arrogant as Trixie?
  
• Big Macintosh and Marble Pie - It's basically FlutterMac 2.0 only she's far, far more submissive. Also, red and gray don't clash very well.

Hate

• Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry - I don't care if they had a past relationship, but the fact is that Sunset used Flash just to be popular, which means that she never truly loved him. And why would people think that Flash would want to restart a relationship with her? If some girl used me just to be popular, I would dump her on the spot and not think about restarting a relationship with her. Even if it was never said they had a relationship (why even bring that up if you aren't going to delve into it in detail?) and even if I wasn't a TwiSentry shipper, I would still refuse to go for FlashShimmer, especially since (and I'm gonna emphasize it in case anybody missed it) it's dead!! ...And don't get me started on how Legend of Everfail handled their "relationship"...
• Sci-Twi and Timber Spruce - No. Just... no.
• Twilight Sparkle and Sunset Shimmer - Rather than rant on it, I'll just link you with this status post of mine to explain why I hate it. All I can say it's the most overrated shipping involving either character.
• Twilight Sparkle and Comet Tail - I feel I've already explained why I hate this shipping; even if I came into the fandom a couple of years earlier, I still wouldn't ship this. Also, I don't know what it is, but I've a bit of a habit of viewing any shipping with Twilight, Flash, and/or Sunset in black and white. Maybe it's cause I've delved so far into TwiSentry that I can't back out.
• Twilight Sparkle and Trixie Lulamoon - Ugh. It doesn't work at all; Trixie's arrogance + Twilight's OCD tendencies = a recipe for disaster.
• Starlight Glimmer and Sunburst - Even though I don't hold as much resentment toward Starlight as I did last year, a real issue I have is that Sunburst is not very appealing in terms of personality. The fact that he's constantly ignored by the writers doesn't make it any better, and keeps making you wonder, "what does Starlight see in Sunburst that makes him her best friend?" So unless Sunburst is given some real character, he'll be one of my least favorite characters, and I will see Starburst as a useless shipping.
• Sunset Shimmer and Comet Tail - It's basically TwiComet except with bigger problems; they have never been seen together on screen, and the fact that they're basically leftovers from the TwiSentry shipping makes it even worse. So yeah, there's absolutely nothing that justifies Comet and Sunset as being a couple.
• Princess Luna and Pipsqueak - It's pedophilia; enough said.
  
• Rarity and Prince Blueblood - He's a horse's ass; enough said.
  
• Any other shipping with Shining Armor - Flash, Chrysalis, Sunburst, whatever. Shining's already married to Princess Cadance and has recently become a father, so why would he even think of cheating on her?
• Any incest shippings - Royal family, Sparkle family, Apple family, Pie family, Breeze family, whatever. Do I have to explain why?
• Any Mane Six/CMC shippings - Ditto. Rarijack is quite possibly the worst offender due to clashing personalities.

Friendship Only

Anything I've marked with the pink bullet point in the above categories means that they're better off just as friends (especially those in the Hate That Shipping category). Any that I haven't listed will be included here.

• Spike and Ember - She's probably best as a sister figure to him.
• Starlight Glimmer and Trixie Lulamoon - I see them more as partners-in-crime (not of the illegal kind) rather than lovers.

Paired with an OC

• Sunset Shimmer and Vincent van Colt (OC by myself) - Been doing so since he was first created and will continue to do so until I either die or stop being a brony, whichever comes first. As she'd been through a harsh past, Sunset would need somepony like Vincent to help her understand her pain and sadness. I see her being a bit aggressive (but not to extreme levels like Flash) to Vincent usually if he does something rather stupid and it upsets her, even if he never meant it. As much as Sunset is a strong mare, she does have a fragile spirit and gets emotional when she and Vincent are miles apart (Vincent feels the same way). Even so, Vincent will risk anything to make Sunset happy and keep her strong - if that doesn't make it true love, I don't know what will.
• Comet Tail and Song Cue (OC by TobyandMavisforever) - Originally I went for Cherry Berry as Comet's mate, but the more I thought about it, the more I felt that Cherry would probably be an ex- that he dumped because he disliked her attitude. With Song Cue? It probably wouldn't be her singing voice that attracted him to her, but it would be her personality that made him open up more. I suppose they're a lot like Joy and Fear from Inside Out; she's the optimist who's always up for adventure, and he's the coward (to some level) who prefers taking caution with every step.
• Rarity and Math Equation (OC by MNich92) - Yeah, as much as I love Sparity, I think this one is just as good. At first, I was unsure how to utilize Math Equation at all without having headcanons clash with one another (I'm a TwiSentry shipper and Mike isn't), but for Art of a Sun's Love, when he asked if I could use Math, I told him about why I was afraid to do so, and when he asked who I'd ship Math with, I went for Rarity (again, even though we both went for Sparity), and we found a way to make it work.

These last two categories probably don't add much, but in spirit of the original meme, I'm gonna include them anyway.
